Updating our Rules of Governance

A subcommittee of the Board, led by board member Dr. Harry Wander, has been working to revise our CSHA by-laws. The bylaws, our guide for how our association operates, were seriously out-of-date and confusing to most readers. Dr. Wander’s committee has now completed its work and has produced a revised document, shorter and clearer in its meaning. After three meetings to review the proposed revisions, the CSHA Board of Directors has agreed to the new by-laws and is recommending that they be approved by the members. We need an affirmative vote of the membership in order to officially adopt the revised by-laws. A copy of the proposed by-laws is enclosed for your review. For reference, you can compare with  the current set of by-laws available for viewing under the heading (use the link at left) “CSHA By-Laws.” (Note that “Exhibit A,” the lot map of Cascade Shores, is not included in either set of by-laws; it is not recommended for any changes.) You have two ways to vote on the proposed by-laws is enclosed for your review.
